the Ridge
A Backyard Lost to the Incline
A steep hillside in Indian Land had made this family's backyard unusable for years. The slope prevented foot traffic, the soil was actively eroding, and the space couldn't be enjoyed from ground level. Every season it got a little worse.
THE SOLUTIONEngineering Elegance from the Ground Up
We carved a 100-square-foot terrace directly into the slope, anchored by a custom bench wall that doubles as both a retaining structure and permanent seating. A hand-laid firepit pad sits at the center, connected to the upper lawn by deep-set architectural stone steps. The slope is now the best part of the yard.

Worn Out and Ready for a Refresh
Aging, uneven pavers and patchy turf had left this Indian Land backyard looking neglected. The homeowner wanted a complete reset — a modern hardscape and a healthy, uniform lawn handled in one visit rather than stretched across multiple contractors.
THE SOLUTIONFull Replacement, One Crew, One Visit
We removed the old paver system entirely and replaced it with Techo-Bloc Blu 60mm Smooth pavers in Greyed Nickel with an Onyx Black border, properly graded and set across approximately 600 sqft. Elite Tall Fescue sod went in the same day — the full backyard went from tired to transformed without a second mobilization.

An Unmaintainable Grade
A sloped hillside in Clover made lawn care difficult and the yard feel unfinished. The trees had no definition, and the grade made it nearly impossible to mow or maintain without ongoing frustration.
THE SOLUTIONStructure, Definition & Fresh Turf
We built a decorative retaining wall along the slope to stabilize the grade and create a clean visual break. Three custom stone tree rings were installed throughout the property, giving each tree a defined base. The slope was then graded and sodded with TIFTUF Bermuda for a finished look that holds year after year.

Everything at Once
This Weddington property needed attention across the board — patchy turf, damaged travertine, and overgrown beds all at the same time. The homeowner didn't want to deal with three different crews and three different schedules.
THE SOLUTIONThree Scopes, One Day
We replaced the lawn with fresh Elite Tall Fescue sod, restored the travertine by removing and resetting damaged pieces with Solstice Dimensional Ivory Travertine cut to fit, and refreshed the surrounding beds with new mulch. All three scopes completed in a single mobilization — one crew, one day, zero coordination headaches.

Rock Border.
A Defined Space Without the Full Patio Cost
The homeowner in Clover needed a stable, level surface for a hot tub but didn't need — or want — a full backyard patio build. A properly installed pad with a clean finished edge was exactly the right scope.
THE SOLUTIONClean Pad, Permanent Edge
We installed a 10×10 paver pad using Keystone Plaza Stone pavers, properly compacted and graded, with a Cane River Rock 4"–7" border surround. The rock edge gives the space a clean, permanent boundary and eliminates ongoing edging and trimming. The result looks intentional and finished without the cost of a full patio.

A Large Property Requiring Constant Upkeep
A sprawling Baxter Village property had expansive lawn and bed areas that demanded constant mowing, edging, and maintenance. The homeowner wanted a permanent low-maintenance solution that still looked polished and intentional.
THE SOLUTIONScale Done Right
We installed 1,400 square feet of Cane River Rock across the property — graded, edged cleanly, and finished with weed barrier underneath. A portion of the rocks were pressure washed, dried, and stained with black concrete stain for a distinct two-tone look. At this scale, the material cost pays for itself within two seasons of eliminated maintenance.
